Ready for the citizenship test?

Your journey to citizenship starts here

Practise in Swedish, with support in your native language

  • Chapters from Sverige i fokus
  • Several ways to practise the same knowledge
  • Explanations after every answer
  • A clear overview of your progress

Our method

From isolated facts to real understanding

It's not enough to recognise a question you've already seen. On the test, you need to find the right answer even when the facts are phrased differently. That's why Min Medborgarresa trains the same knowledge in several forms.

01

Read and understand

Go through one chapter at a time. Key words and connections are explained in clear Swedish.

02

Turn the question around

Meet the same facts as a question, a statement, a negation and an everyday situation. That makes it harder to just memorise the order of the answers.

03

Explain why

After every answer, you don't just see what's correct — you also learn why the other options are wrong.

04

Review smarter

Sverigekollen mixes facts from different chapters and helps you spot what you still mix up.

About the official test

The first test takes place on 15 August 2026

According to UHR, the test is written in Swedish and on paper. The actual test time is 90 minutes. The test consists of around 60 multiple-choice questions with four answer options, one of which is correct. There is no penalty for wrong answers.

Registration for the 15 August 2026 test is closed. Only those referred by the Swedish Migration Agency (Migrationsverket) may take part.

About the source material

Based on Sverige i fokus

Sverige i fokus is the educational material that UHR developed together with the Swedish National Agency for Education (Skolverket) on the government's behalf. The test is based on this material.

Min Medborgarresa is an independent study aid. UHR, Skolverket and Migrationsverket have not reviewed or approved our lessons or practice questions.

Come, let's learn together

Min Medborgarresa didn't start with me having all the answers. It started with me going through Sverige i fokus myself and realising how much there is to understand, remember and tell apart — especially when Swedish isn't your first language.

I'm on the same journey as many of you. Instead of studying alone, I built the place I was missing myself: a place where we can take one chapter at a time, turn the questions over, make mistakes, understand why, and try again.

On 15 August 2026, the first citizenship test in civics is held. Come as you are. We read together, practise together, and help each other become better prepared.
