What you need to know
Does Min Medborgarresa cost anything?
No. The service is free during the current test period. You don't need to provide a payment card, and your account does not automatically switch to a paid service. If this changes in the future, you'll get clear information before any payment could become relevant.
Is Min Medborgarresa an official service?
No. It is an independent study aid. UHR, Skolverket and Migrationsverket have not reviewed or approved the service or our practice questions.
What is the content based on?
The content is based on Sverige i fokus, the educational material developed by UHR together with Skolverket. According to UHR, the exam is based on this material.
Are the questions the same as on the real exam?
No. The questions are our own practice questions. They follow the publicly described multiple-choice format but are not official exam questions.
What's the difference between the 13 chapters, True or false, Sweden check and Practice exam?
In the 13 chapters, you learn one topic at a time, with check questions and true-or-false. In True or false, you practise judging individual statements from all chapters. In Sweden check, facts from several chapters are mixed to show what you really remember. In Practice exam, you train under the same conditions as the official exam: 60 multiple-choice questions and 90 minutes.
What does the official exam look like?
According to UHR, the exam consists of about 60 multiple-choice questions with four answer options, one of which is correct. The exam is written in Swedish and on paper. The actual exam time is 90 minutes.
Who is allowed to take the official exam?
Anyone taking part must have been assigned by Migrationsverket. Registration for the 15 August 2026 exam is closed. Always check current information at UHR and Migrationsverket.
Can I use the site even if I'm not taking the exam right now?
Yes. You can use the service to learn more about Sweden and start preparing well in advance. An account with us is not, however, a registration for the official exam.
Do I need a password?
No. You log in with a code sent to your email every time, so you never need to remember a password. The account is personal and free.
Can I get explanations in a language other than Swedish?
Yes. After answering a question, you can choose your language and click the button to get the explanation in that language. The questions themselves and the correct answers are always shown in Swedish, since that's the language of the exam.
Are my results saved?
Completed practice exams are saved to your account and shown under My progress. Your practice statistics for chapters, True or false and Sweden check are saved locally in your own browser.
